Since its beginning in the early 1970's the name ROBERT DUNBAR BUTCHERS was one synonymous with personal service and the finest quality scotch beef, lamb and pork.

In 1981 the business moved to larger premises and now with the involvement of EWEN DUNBAR the firm changed its name to R A DUNBAR & SON.

The larger purpose built location has allowed R.A DUNBAR & SON to develop into the bright, modern, welcoming shop that it is today. Complementing the butchers shop R.A DUNBAR & SON now incorporates its own in store bakery and delicatessen, where cooked meats, cheeses and a vast array of freshly baked pie and pastry products help to create a distinctly continental ambience.

Sausage, burgers, puddings and haggis are all made on the premises using the finest local ingredients.

For those with special dietary requirements a range of gluten free products are always available.

The introduction of a next day delivery nationwide postal service has resulted in our customer base expanding to such an extent that we now receive regular orders from the Highlands of Scotland to the very south of England.

Times, trends, and tastes change however the core ingredients of quality and service which have typified this shop over the years continue.
